Karen has a diverse background in the legal profession. She began as a legal assistant in real estate law followed by criminal, family practice and civil law. She has worked with Mr. Thompson since 1986. As a member of the Thompson team, she concentrates on personal injury, workers’ compensation and Social Security and, is an integral part of the family practice. Karen is hands on with each file beginning with the initial call, opening a file with all necessary information, establishing a rapport with each individual, understanding their needs and empathizing with their situation. She schedules the initial conference with counsel, obtains medical records, maintaining a diary, does dictation, and files the appropriate documents with the Courts, schedules depositions and court dates. She maintains a courteous professional relationship with each individual.

Outside of the office, Karen enjoys arts and crafts, and sewing. One year she made the practice jerseys for the Philadelphia Flyers hockey team. She also enjoys music and reading. She has been married for 33 years and has a son and a daughter. Karen has four fabulous grandchildren.
